…Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq praised for prioritizing rural infrastructure development

The Kwara State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) has entered into a ₦9.3 billion contract agreement for the construction of rural roads, marking a significant investment in improving transportation infrastructure across the state. The move underscores the commitment of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration to enhance connectivity and stimulate economic growth in rural areas.

Engr. (Dr.) Isaac Kolo, the State Project Coordinator for RAAMP, announced the signing of the contract agreement with qualified contractors in Ilorin, highlighting the governor’s dedication to opening up more rural roads to improve the state’s economic landscape and enhance the livelihoods of rural dwellers.

Expressing confidence in the governor’s leadership, Dr. Kolo praised AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment to advancing the development agenda of Kwara State. He urged the approved contractors to execute their duties diligently and adhere strictly to the terms of the contract agreement to ensure timely completion of the project within the stipulated 18-month period.

Representatives from the contracting companies, including Tundis Nigeria Limited and others, expressed their gratitude to the state government for the opportunity to contribute to the development of Kwara State. They pledged to deliver high-quality workmanship and uphold the integrity of the project.

Barr. Moyosore Rasheed, speaking on behalf of the State Project Management Committee (SPMC), urged the contractors to view the project as a privilege and strive to deliver excellence, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities diligently.

The road project, which spans various local government areas, will be executed in phases, focusing on backlog maintenance, rehabilitation, and upgrading of rural roads. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration has demonstrated its commitment to facilitating development across the state by providing the necessary counterpart funds and supporting infrastructure projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
