Kwara State Governor Commends Workers’ Contributions on May Day

In a special message to commemorate May Day, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State extends fraternal greetings to all workers, recognizing their vital role in driving governmental activities towards sustainable development.

Acknowledging the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nearly a year ago, Governor AbdulRazaq assured workers of his administration’s commitment to mitigating the effects of the reforms.

Highlighting measures such as monthly transport support, staggered working days, and various welfare packages, the governor reaffirms his administration’s dedication to supporting workers and the general public amidst the ongoing reforms. He also pledges to implement another minimum wage once all necessary processes are concluded.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed gratitude to organised labour and workers for their support and resilience, underscoring their indispensable contributions to the development of Kwara State. He concluded by congratulating everyone on the occasion of the 2024 Workers’ Day.
